My own lovies

I don't share a whole lot of my babes or my life on my photography page but I thought I'd share with you the pictures I just took of my kids yesterday. It's been a while since I went out and actually did a shoot with them. Don't get me wrong, I take pictures of them almost every day but to find the time to go out and do an actual photo shoot with them is rare. You see, a year ago if you would have asked me if "Photography" was in my future. I would have laughed and said no. I don't even know the first step to being a photographer let alone take a decent picture. I asked my husband to get me a better camera because I hated how orange the point and shoot made all my pictures. I wouldn't have been able to print them out even if I wanted to. Well shortly after I got my new camera we took my babes over to Wheeler Farm and I just started taking a bunch of pictures of them because I was excited to have a "decent" camera. I didn't know anything about editing and of course like everyone else I used picnik. I guess I did something right because I randomly got a call from a friend of mine asking how much I'd charge to take pictures of her family... since then it's taken off. I no longer use picnik to edit my photos and every time I want to learn something new I google it and/or youtube it. Completely self taught. When I get around to it I will have to blog some of the photo's I did when I first started and embarrass myself a little. haha Anyway, the reason I went out and did a photo shoot was for my son. He's turning 5 years old next month eeek! He's getting so big it kills me. So here's the photo's from my son's session and I even snapped some of my little lady. Enjoy.
